Commissioning of testo Saveris 2
No, no software needs to be installed on your local computer. To access your data and use the testo Saveris 2 system for humidity and temperature monitoring, all you need is an Internet browser (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari) and a functioning Internet connection.
A standard PC or laptop with Internet access and an up-to-date Internet browser is completely sufficient for operating the testo Saveris 2 system for humidity and temperature monitoring.
You can access the system from any end device with an internet browser and with which you can access the internet. A smartphone is only one of the options and is not essential for operating testo Saveris 2.
To start humidity and temperature monitoring with testo Saveris 2, a local wireless network (WLAN) is required. The local network is set up by a router. This also establishes the Internet connection (via cable). Local WLAN and Internet access are essential for the operation of testo Saveris 2.
Yes, you can use the system in your own WLAN infrastructure. The existence of a local WLAN infrastructure as well as an Internet connection of the WLAN is even a necessary prerequisite for the operation of testo Saveris 2.
Measuring locations and radio range
With testo Saveris 2, you can of course carry out humidity and temperature monitoring in several rooms. Please ensure that WLAN with sufficient reception strength is available in each room to be monitored. You may need to extend the radio link from/to your router using so-called repeaters.
With testo Saveris 2, you can combine separate locations into a single system. The prerequisite for this is that a local WLAN and Internet access are available at each location. You can then merge the different locations into one "system" in your account.
The radio ranges of the individual wireless data loggers correspond to those of typical WLAN end devices. Ultimately, the range in individual cases depends very much on the local conditions, the materials used (e.g. wooden ceiling as opposed to a reinforced concrete ceiling) and any other interfering influences.
The wireless data loggers are battery-operated and equipped with a memory for 10,000 measured values. Should your WLAN fail due to a local power outage, the wireless data loggers continue to measure at the specified measurement rate until the network is available again. All measurement data is then sent to the server. If no measurement data is received by the server due to a power failure, you can set up your system so that an alarm message is automatically sent to you.
Access to measurement data and data security
Your data is stored by Testo in what is known as the cloud. This means that it is stored securely on a server in a data centre. Very high standards of data availability are maintained there and your data is reliably protected against unauthorised access.
Depending on the location of your system, different servers are used to store your data. For customers within Europe, the servers are located in Germany, which means that German data protection regulations apply.
The storage duration of the data is guaranteed by Testo for the period agreed in the contract. Of course, you can download the data from your humidity or temperature monitoring system at any time and store it locally beyond this period.

Use of the wireless data logger
In principle, the number of wireless data loggers is unlimited. However, the number of wireless data loggers that you can use in your account depends on the selected licence (e.g. 1 - 10 wireless data loggers).
Sensors for temperature and relative humidity are available for the testo Saveris 2 wireless data logger system. With the compatible testo 160 data loggers, you can also conveniently record parameters such asCO2, UV and lux in one system.
The wireless data loggers were purchased by you and therefore belong to you.
In addition to the option of being alerted when individual limit values are exceeded, you will of course also be notified when the batteries of the wireless data logger are low and the batteries need to be replaced soon. This is done by e-mail, for example.
