Measurement environment
Thermography: knowledge and practice
1. Ambient temperature
In order for your thermal imaging camera to correctly calculate the surface temperature, you should also pay attention to the reflected temperature (RTC) setting in addition to the emissivity (ε) setting.
In many measurement applications, the reflected temperature corresponds to the ambient temperature.
If there is a large temperature difference between the measurement object and the environment, precise adjustment of the emissivity is important.
